The Trust provides a full range of local hospital services across its different sites, and specialist services from King’s College Hospital (KCH) site in Camberwell and the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) site in Bromley, Orpington Hospital, and some services at Beckenham Beacon and Queen Mary’s Sidcup.

The Trust is recognised internationally for its work in liver disease and transplantation, neurosciences, cardiac, haemato-oncology, fetal medicine, stroke, major trauma, and Emergency Department.

The Department of ENT is looking for a friendly, hardworking individual, with good communication skills to join the secretarial team based at PRUH. The post holder will have a ‘can do’ attitude and have experience of working in a busy NHS environment.

The post holder will work in close liaison with the consultants and their team. The post holder is responsible for ensuring that all patient correspondence is accurately sent to patients and their GPs in a timely fashion. The day to day working relationships include face to face, telephone and electronic communication with other administrative and clerical staff, all staff groups within the Trust, numerous outside agencies including patients, their carer, GPs and other hospitals.

The day to day working relationships will include the clinical staff based in the clinic, patients, carers, internal and external staff from a variety of departments and hospitals, and you will be part of the wider administrative team.

The ideal candidate will be a quick learner and able to work in a fast paced environment. Candidates must be able to multi task and be able to prioritise their workload, especially during busy periods, whilst ensuring that patients are responded to appropriately. If you have good experience of customer service in a busy environment, can help ensure that patients are spoken to and communicated with in a fully confidential and caring way, then we would like to hear from you.
