Key Output

Carry out electrical and mechanical repairs/maintenance on generators/motors/alternators/engines on Earthmoving Equipment in workshops and on customer sites.

Remove and install Mechanical and electrical components.

Perform standby and attend callouts.

Provide specialist advise on all the customer requirements.

Build and sustain excellent customer relationships.

Effectively manage EMP account.

Remove and install Electrical and Mechanical components.

Wiring electrical panels (MV & HV).

Ensure safe work practice.

Maintain professional image when representing BWE on customer site.

Quickly and efficiently deal with all customer electrical and mechanical breakdowns.

Compile accurate customer service reports.

Effective self-management and performance ownership.

Control Contamination.

Control own admin (labour booking, service reports, part returns, expenses etc.).

Maintain service vehicle and equipment.

Knowledge of electronics as applied to the control of heavy electrically driven equipment

Qualification, Experience and Competencies

Qualified in relevant trade (Millwright ONLY)

Wireman’s licence (Optional).

HT Certificate.

3 years technical experience Shovels.

Applicable product knowledge

Drivers licence – Code B

Good physical health.

Business development skills and knowledge.

Good Computer skills to do machine diagnostics and fault finding.

Good Reporting and Fault-finding Skills.

Self-motivated and driven.

Able to work Shift and Day shift.

Must be proactive and diligent.

Must be flexible and dynamic in his/her approach for change.
