In this position, you will be a member of the 3D Systems IT Infrastructure team. The Windows System Administrator is responsible for the overall maintenance, administration, and management of the Microsoft Windows Server environment. The primary role for all matters related in the operations, design, and planning of the enterprise Active Directory environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for day-to-day support and administration duties of Windows Active Directory environment. Inclusive of object maintenance, complex troubleshooting and repair tasks on Active Directory, Windows Server 2008-2019, Domain Controllers, DNS, user authentication and other operational systems as needed.
Server Maintenance – Maintaining software and hardware for production servers running on Windows Server.
System Updates – Installing new software releases, system upgrades, evaluating and installing patches and resolving software related issues.
Provides technical review of existing implementations and administrative practices (account and network administration, GPOs, OUs, DNS, etc.)
Administers Users, Group and Computer objects and create Group Policy using Group Policy Management Console.
Participates in data cleansing efforts including remediation of duplicate user ID’s, Directory Information Tree (DIT) redesign and modification recommendations, consolidation of Group Policy Objects, and implementation of access restrictions and auditing.
Deploy and support of SCCM for software distribution and patch management
Establishes service specifications to other systems including permissions modification, deletion, role definitions, reclassification and other similar access management related functions.
Provide support for VMware environment
Manage and maintain Avamar backup solution. Performing daily monitoring and management of backup solution implemented across the infrastructure.
Five years work experience supporting multi-site Windows server infrastructures.
Extensive Active Directory and Directory Services knowledge.
Working experience of operating-system administration skills of Windows Server 2008-2019.
Ability to install, configure and troubleshoot Active Directory and DNS for Active Directory, as well as skills necessary for Group Policy and Active Directory Security solutions.
Experience in windows deployment solutions (SCCM)
Experience with VMWare systems
