We are currently seeking a Night Dispatcher, 4 days on/4 days off, 12 hour 6pm-6am for all locations but can commute to Columbus, IN or Wooster, OH as needed.

The Night Dispatcher position monitors driver activity through the Company’s mobile commuting software, and fields drivers’ calls to assist with problem resolution. The Night Dispatcher resolves drivers’ issues as able, or contacts appropriate party if further assistance is required. The Night Dispatcher also updates the load schedules daily based on changes from other locations and pre-assigned loads. This is a remote position.

A. *Monitor driver and vehicle performance while en route through mobile commuting software, including weather, route issues and potential Hours of Service constraints to assess impact on delivery; respond with assistance or alert appropriate party.

B. *Update load schedules daily, incorporating changes from customers and alternate locations.

C. *Respond to drivers’ calls, maintaining ongoing communication and providing information and assistance as able.

D. *Execute customer orders and build loads for assigned terminals, assigning vehicles and drivers to ensure the most efficient and timely route.

E. *Enter work orders for maintenance into system.

F. *Enters paid maintenance invoices into system as expense and provides Billing Manager with original invoices.

G. *Input tolls into system, once trucks have been identified as acid carriers and sorted by individual vehicles in spreadsheet.

H. *Verify fuel invoices against ComData reports to ensure amounts are correct.

I. *Maintain database of miles on engine, idle percentage, average speed and fuel consumption for fleet of tractors that haul acid.

J. *Research detention amounts for assigned terminals as needed.

K. *Match credit card receipts to invoices as needed.

L. Attend Company and industry-related meetings, as required.

M. Establish individual goals which are aligned with the Company’s business strategies and objectives.

N. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by executive leadership.

A. The ability to work under pressure and multitask to resolve critical issues related to customer deliveries and driver safety.

B. Timely delivery of goods and customer satisfaction with services provided.

C. Profitable use of equipment and equitable distribution to drivers of available loads.

D. Ability to professionally and effectively correspond with external and internal clients and vendors via phone, email, and written correspondence.

E. Excellent attention to detail in a rapidly changing environment.

F. Maintenance of Company information in a confidential manner

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

A. A High School Diploma or equivalent required.

B. Experience in transportation industry, including familiarity with DOT and FMCR, preferred but not required.

C. Familiarity with QUALCOMM preferred.

D. Experience with customer service and problem resolution is highly desired.
