Here at HSJ, we are a forward thinking, flexible, digitally focussed firm of accountants. We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and driven individual to join our administration team. The successful candidate will play an integral part in delivering an excellent service to our clients and providing support to all of our team.

We currently have a vacancy for an office administrator to join our team on a full time basis, working Monday through to Friday at our Newport office.
The successful applicant should be self-motivated, have excellent communication and organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and manage their time and work load appropriately.

Duties and responsibilities

The role will include carrying out (but is not limited to) the following tasks:

  • Manage, control and process client records in an efficient and timely manner
  • Accurately update and maintain company databases
  • Supporting a team of accountants by organising and preparing relevant documentation as and when required.
  • Deal with correspondence, answering telephone, scanning documents and general office admin duties.

Experience, skills & attributes

Previous experience of working in an office environment is preferred but not essential. The candidate must be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Competent computer user (i.e. excel, word and outlook)
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Good attention to detail, excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage a varied workload
  • Must have a flexible, positive attitude
  • Be self-motivated, be able to work unsupervised
