Overview

MS Rubric are looking for their next bright and ambitious Paralegal to join, and support, the firm as part of their growth plans.

The business is in an exciting position as it looks ahead to 2021 which will include a rebrand to match its young and foreword thinking team.

The opportunity for the successful person will be to join as a paralegal and soon thereafter enter into a training contract to qualify as a solicitor.

The role

As MS Rubric’s newest paralegal you will tread in the footsteps of several others who have already benefitted from this exact opportunity and are now fully qualified solicitors. Your role will include supporting the team wherever possible to deliver client work as well as delivering fee earning working yourself (under their supervision).

This role will enable the firm to continue it’s growth plans and take on new client instructions safe in the knowledge that the firm’s incredibly high standards of advice and service are maintained.

What will be expected of you

As a Paralegal you will be expected to prepare, write, read, organise, file and deal with all aspects of the administration and delivery of specific client dealings. The range of tasks spans from generating highly polished correspondence, dealing with due diligence enquiries, organising and handling data and files on the firm’s case systems, proof reading, submitting applications, liaising with clients, and conducting research projects. This is not an exhaustive list, but will give you a flavour of the work you will be completing.

Who you will be working with?

As a small firm (8 head count) you will have direct access to all members of the team. You will ultimately report to the MD (James Howell) but day to day will be supporting all of the team at various points.

What is it like to work here?

We’re an energetic group who are closely connected. There are solicitors that you will be working with who have already made this journey and know the benefits of the firm. There is a flat management structure with the MD actively involved in the development of the team. The work is serious and there is a high output required, but the environment is supportive, fun, and enjoyable.

The firm have four practice areas (Property, Private Client, Corporate/Commercial, Employment) and have acquired a specialist reputation. This however is not the end and the firm want to grow and develop each area of the business into new markets and geographies.
