PC Technician – Southwest Operations Job at BISSELL in McAllen, TX

Job Description

The PC Technician – SW Operations will be responsible for providing technical support for operations at multiple BISSELL SW locations, including Pharr, TX and Reynosa, MX. This critical role will require a keen focus on customer service and support. Along with providing quick resolution of Incident’s and Service requests, this individual should possess strong ability to troubleshoot and uncover root cause of technical concerns. This position requires fluency in both English and Spanish.


Field incoming incident requests from end-users in a professional and customer service-oriented manner

Record and document incident requests per standard Service Desk procedures

Possess a high sense of urgency in following up on assigned incidents or work orders to solve, or close, on a timely basis

Troubleshoot and solve problems with PCs, printers, PC-based computer software and other end user equipment or software as required

Arrange for, procure, coordinate, and manage vendor assistance when required to assist in the resolution of issues

Perform PC laptop/desktop equipment refreshes and upgrades as required

Assist with defining and implementing continuous service improvements


Contribute to major project planning and execution

Manage minor projects with minimal supervision

Assist with hardware and software research in support of procurement

Participate in end-user training as required

Maintain, and report on end-user hardware and software assets for expense reconciliation, annual budgeting and inventory accuracy

May be required to perform other duties as assigned

Degree minimum: Degree or Certificate in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.

Experience level: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience is required.

Good oral and written communications skills required

Strong customer service orientation required

Prior experience installing, configuring, supporting and maintaining Windows client workstation hardware and software required

Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office

Experience with the setup and maintenance of Xerox (Multi-function Paper) and Zebra (Label) Printers


On-call availability

Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, hand and power tools, and to handle other computer components

Lifting and transporting of heavy to moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals

Occasional travel (1-2 times per year) for conferences, training and support

Travel between the US and Mexico weekly.
