What you willdo:

Provide manufacturing process and team support. Offer direction, expertise and effort in specific manufacturing areas. Must become the process expert on all existing and new Actagro products manufactured at the site. Maintain focus on meeting plant objectives in safety, quality, productivity, delivery and cost.

Coordinate timely manufacturing of Actagro products to meet the demands of customers and support the initiatives of the sales force to grow business

Manage and motivate production employees, including salaried and hourly (non-union)

Review, develop, implement and revise (in conjunction with Actagro development department) all processes and procedures within the manufacturing areas assigned to ensure continuous improvement

Coordinate with customer service the manufacturing schedules, inventory, and truck and rail logistics to support product availability

Develop and manage the annual CAPEX plan and oversee completion of all approved projects

Actively participate in the Sales & Operational Planning (S&OP) process

Manage raw material usage and produce finished product inventories in accordance with the Demand and Sales Plan. Approximate raw material spend is in excess of $15MM / yr

Participate in the hiring, discipline, and employment exit process for hourly and professional positions as required. Develop new supervisors and leadership in operations

Facilitate employee scheduling changes and time off, as needed

What you will bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science from an accredited college or university preferred. May consider experience in lieu of a degree

7+ years’ experience in an operating processing plant environment, such as food processing, chemical processing or pharmaceutical

Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement Preferred

Strong skills with Microsoft applications, DCS and control and production planning systems is a benefit

PSM Training Preferred

Proven leadership skills with coordination / supervisory experience and be well versed in the issues encountered by management of people
