Founded in 2018, Daphne Technology SA is a green technology company that is revolutionizing the transportation industry by offering the most cost-effective and ecologically-superior technology to tackle and reduce air pollution. Daphne Technology’s first product, SulPure®, is a catalyst-free gas purification system to help the petrochemical, power, and transportation industries reduce air emissions to the levels required by international and national regulations. The company employs approximately 20 people, is headquartered in Saint-Sulpice (Switzerland), and has a subsidiary in Gothenburg (Sweden) and Oslo (Norway).

For the industrialization of our proprietary ECOnverter technology we would like to reinforce our core R&D team through the hiring of a Power Electronics R&D Engineer.

Responsibilities:

  • Conceptual design and simulation of novel power electronic circuits (PLECS, Matlab/Simulink)
  • Prototyping, commissioning, and testing of electronic hardware (Altium, KiCAD)
  • Design and implementation of high frequency magnetic components (high frequency inductors, transformers, etc.)
  • Power electronics control system design and embedded software development (Matlab/Simulink, C/C++, VHDL)
  • Implementation of automation interface (communication between embedded controller and PLC) and supporting SCADA implementation
  • Electromagnetic simulation to support design of high voltage components (COMSOL)
  • Planning, execution and troubleshooting of experiments together with a cross-functional team of scientists in an agile environment

Qualifications:

  • MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline)
  • Both theoretical and practical hands-on power electronic skills
  • Experience working with high voltages
  • Good knowledge of control system design and embedded programming (FPGA/SoC programming)
  • Innovative and solution-oriented mindset
  • Self-motivated with a desire for personal growth
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
