Job Description

Responsibilities:

Leads the design and development of technical solutions that have significant strategic, long-term impact on the business and achieve competitive advantage for the company, aligned with the strategic objectives of Nike and future architectural standards.

Establishes and communicates a strategic vision for multiple systems and solution areas, helping colleagues translate that vision into sprints and plans for the team(s).

Codes and/or provides direction and technical guidance on the most complex coding/development, configuration, and implementation efforts, enhancing the expertise of colleagues.

Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to establish an architectural plan for building Platform solution in consideration of the product roadmaps

Participate in design and engineering of analytics solutions that have significant strategic impact and achieve long term competitive advantage for Nike.

Embrace and influence domain driven design and architecture principles of security, scale, uptime and reliability

Partner with business leaders to provide expert technical advice and influence strategic decision making

Demonstrate a strong bias for architecture principles balanced with tactical timelines, cost and risks

Contribute to architecture guiding principles, development standards, training and hiring

WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science or a related field

6 years’ IT or business experience

7+ years in hands-on data engineering or development of planning solutions

Experience in developing End to End Architecture of large-scale applications.

Strong understanding of data and analytics solution architecture, including experience with Big Data, Relational databases, streaming and batch data processing,

In-depth knowledge and experience with Data Engineering essentials such as scripting languages, source control, workflow scheduling, relational and non-relational SQL, and development of complex data solutions

Expert knowledge and experience with a diversity of tools and platforms

Experience with micro service and full stack architecture; strong knowledge of SOA principles

Experience with leading enterprise cloud/virtual architectures like AWS, Microsoft Azure, Open Stack, JIE, etc.

Working knowledge of statistical and predictive modeling concepts and disciplines

Experience in leading design and development on horizontally and highly scalable cloud-based architecture. AWS cloud infrastructure experience strongly preferred.

Experience with developing automated unit

Demonstrated track record of leading within complex organizations requiring strong influence management skills – ability to work cooperatively at all levels in matrix environment

Exceptional collaboration, listening, written and verbal communication skills with ability to facilitate technology strategy, requirements and architecture conversations with all stakeholders (management, business users, and technology resources)
