Job Description

  • As the Programme Manager and Project Lead, you will be primarily responsible for overseeing programme governance, project acceptance, planning/resourcing and delivery, collaborating with both internal GSS and external business stakeholders and working within the Anglo American programme methodology.

You will be required to:
Work with the Anglo American Programme Management toolkit to establish and manage effective programme governance and programme management practices for the GSS Transformation programme

Collaborate with Anglo American PMO for relevant functions and transformation programmes

Oversee all strategic project governance in GSS including planning, GSS resourcing, risk review and management, progress and benefits/outcomes tracking and reporting and stage gating

Understand the interlink and overlap of different projects whilst identifying and ensure risks are appropriately managed, obstacles to progress identified and removed and mitigating actions are in place to ensure continuity of service and minimum disruption to both existing operations and processes and ensuring positive outcomes

Stakeholder management and collaboration remotely with teams in other regions in which Anglo American operates

This role is in the Global Shared Services department at band level 6 reporting to the GSS Transformation Lead.

Qualifications

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or equivalent is preferred

Experience:
7-10 years’ working experience in project management with relevant experience of programme management

Sound knowledge of project management techniques and acts as a champion for project management and execution

Working experience within large scale complex initiatives and change management in a shared services environment.

Programme management from strategy through to implementation, corporate governance management and deployment management experience

Strong international senior stakeholder management
