JHS & Co Ltd is the UK’s leading distributor of musical instruments and accessories.

Based at our Garforth, Leeds Head Office, we are recruiting a Purchasing Co-Ordinator working within the Purchasing Department.

Reporting to the Operations Director, the role primarily involves the co-ordination of all imports, documentation, liaison with shippers and forwarders, organisation of deliveries into our warehouse.

Importing from the Far East, USA and Europe we require a well-organized individual, conversant with MS Office applications and ERP systems, with the ability to communicate clearly at all levels.

The successful candidate for this exciting, challenging, demanding and rewarding role will be a confident, pro-active, dynamic, self-motivated and disciplined individual.

Whilst management of our imports will remain a primary objective of the position, the position will also entail supplier liaison, vendor management and procurement activities.

We are seeking candidates with the following qualities:

  • Experience of freight forwarding via sea, air and road.
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Results driven, self-motivated individual
  • Excellent organisational ICT and time management skills
  • Strong numeracy skills
