Quality Controller Job at Marasu Petit Fours LTD in London
We are currently looking for an experienced Quality Controller to join our hard-working team working in a fast-paced luxury chocolate manufacturer based in North West London.
The position will be permanent subject to successfully passing a 3 month probation period.
Reporting to: Technical Manager and Quality & Technical Coordinator
Ensure the HACCP pre-requisites are under control, Check on HACCP system to ensure that it is been thoroughly followed and reviewed.
Quality Management Systems
Ensure all controlled documents are used within the factory.
Responsible for collecting QMS, Food safety documents and ensuring that are legible and CCP are correctly recorded.
Ensure factory environment, processing equipment is maintained in suitable condition to avoid any foreign body into the product.
Ensure non-conformity procedure is followed where the product is at risk of safety, legality or quality.
Ensure traceability schedule is followed for backward and forward traceability.
Ensure the factory is free from any pest activities and inform Technical Manager of any activities.
Perform routine quality check such as monitoring daily temperature recording and informing if temperatures are out of specification, carryout daily, weekly and monthly calibration, conduct daily audits for the confirmation of the Critical Control Points, daily positive release of finished products.
Work on technical project as instructed by Technical Manager.
Applied Food hygiene
Daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedule verification.
Ensure weekly ATP swab testing is carried out.
Organise environmental, water testing as per the schedule.
Post cleaning audits as required.
Ensure operatives carrying out Critical Control Point are trained prior to commencing work.
Carry out induction or QMS training as instructed by Technical Manager.
Audits and customer inspections
Ensure the site is always kept neat and clean at any unannounced audits or customer inspections.
Any other projects instructed by Technical Manager.
- Good command over English language
- Technical report writing skills
- Reporting Non-conformance using the correct judgement and procedure as per the standards
- Presentation of reports to the Technical Manager and management
- Flexible in shift pattern (morning or afternoon)
- Weekend cover (only Saturdays required)
- Able to learn quickly
- Able to work with all levels including the Head of production, packing, purchasing, commercial, and operation head
- Basic mathematical skills
- Able to draft procedure
- Experience of working for a food-based manufacturer is essential
- Ability to work in fast paced and high demanding environment

Salary: £23,000.00 – £25,000.00 per year
