Quality & Training Specialist, Residential – Full-time (Markham/GTA, Ontario and/or Vancouver, British Columbia)

Reporting to the Director, Quality and Training, as a Quality and Training Specialist, you will work directly with our residential supervisors, inspectors, and management to provide loss control education, administration, leadership, and guidance on underwriting issues. You will also educate and assist the team with appraisal review. Your vast experience in both loss control and appraisals will ensure the highest level of quality is being met to the standard our clients expect.

Training, development, and mentorship of new hires in an assigned region, focusing on establishing and maintaining national standards for a consistent approach across Canada.

Provides Quality Assurance review nationally.

Assists with inspector supervision when required.

Perform audits on regional inspectors in accordance with the national format.

Conduct re-training for inspectors that require assistance.

Perform educational seminars for our in-house inspectors.

Handle regional technical inquiries and ensure 24-hour resolution.

Conduct Residential inspections in the region (max of 4-5 week).

Review and report on quality standards of Precise Services product lines for inspection and evaluations, adherence to both internal standards and client service level agreements as well as customer service via the client care center.

Responsible to measure and report on quality and performance standards at the inspector, client, regional and national levels.

Responsible to conduct file level audits of inspectors’ work on a prescribed basis in assigned region. Some audits will include phone or physical verification of data that was collected. Summary reports will be prepared for regional and national management.

Liaise with the Regional Leaders on the quality level of both new and existing inspectors.

Other deliverables as assigned.

Education, Knowledge, and Experience Required:
A post-secondary degree or diploma (in a related field preferably).

7-10 years of Residential Inspection experience, including Quality Assurance, Training or Supervisory roles, within the insurance industry.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office – PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Extensive technical knowledge relating to home and building inspections and valuations.

Environment/Working Conditions:
This position involves some travel within an assigned region requiring a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.

Autonomous and flexible work environment. Entering residences may require appointments to be scheduled in the evenings and on weekends.
