Radiographic Assistant Job at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust – in Cromer
The Radiology department sits within the Diagnostic and Clinical Support Services division and provides diagnostic imaging and therapeutic treatments across a range of specialties across the Trust.
This role involves assisting with all aspects of Imaging including preparing patients for examinations, helping to position patients for examinations, assisting with interventional procedures, in addition to having knowledge of basic anatomy and medical terminology.
The role is patient focused so good communication is essential to assist patients and to demonstrate care and empathy to those who are unwell or distressed, helping them through the Imaging process.
The post holder will contribute to the provision of a high standard of care for patients and carry out some duties unaided, in accordance with Trust/Directorate policy, at the discretion of qualified staff.

Full time: 37.5 hours per week.
This role will rotate on a roster basis throughout the department including MRI, Plain Film and Ultrasound at Cromer District Hospital. Occasional travel to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH) for shifts may be required.
There are various 7.5 hour shifts which cover the 24 hour period including night shifts, over seven days of the week, inclusive of Bank Holidays.
