About the Role

There are two positions available – 1x permanent full time, 1x temporary full time (5 months).

As the Rates Officer, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, experiences and outcomes to the community and its residents, and forms part of the critical Rates & Receivables team at Council.

On a daily basis you will:
Respond to customer Rate’s enquiries and requests promptly and accurately

Use your strong communication and customer service skills to ensure all customer interactions, experiences and outgoing correspondences are of high quality

Apply a solid understanding of your Ratings experience and knowledge in the NSW Local Government setting, to support key operational activities and processes

Process and maintain accurate reporting for the recovery of Rates and Sundry Debtors

Work to strict deadlines with a customer-focused mindset

Look for business improvement opportunities in both the Rating, Receivables and Recovery processes

About the Person

The successful candidate should have at least three years of Local Government experience and can demonstrate abilities and skills acquired in both the Rates and Account Receivables industries.

You will have:
Solid understanding around Local Government Ratings

Three years experience with Local Government Ratings

High School Certificate and/or equivalent Business Level Qualifications
