Job Description

This position is targeted for a software engineer that will join a software R&D team inside Keysight’sQuantum Engineering Solutions (QES) organization, which isresponsiblefor producing world-leading solutions for the challenging and exciting market of quantum technologies, including quantum computing, quantum communications and quantum sensing.

Being part of theQuantum Engineering Solutions group, you will have the opportunity to learn exciting concepts of quantum computing,collaborating withphysicists and being part of this next technological breakthrough. You will work in anAGILEteam to develop new solutions in collaboration with Keysight teams around the globe; turning ideas into robust software. You will deploy modern software practices such as design reviews, code review, unit testing andusabilitytesting.

This position is based out of our new R&D office in Kendall square in Cambridge, MA.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor’sdegreein Computer Science or equivalent field.Master’sdegreeispreferred

5-8years’experiencein software engineering

Proficiency in Python

Ability to demonstrate advanced software coding skills, a solid grasp of softwarearchitectureand evidences of sophisticated results

Well-versed in API design, system level performance optimization, modern GUI design and implementation, and unit testing

Experiencewith instrumentation protocols and automation techniques

ExperiencewithAgile scrummethodologies

Familiarity with Atlassian Toolset isdesired

Excellent analytical andtroubleshootingskills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work in a collaborative environment and to develop teamwork among individuals and over geographically disperse teams
