Receptionist /Guest Service Agent Job at Yarnfield Park Training and Conference Centre in Stone

Job Description

To increase customer satisfaction by providing efficient, prompt, trouble free and courteous front office service connected with arriving, and in-house guests, in line with the Hotel’s.

Available to register, process and greet guests promptly and professionally.

Welcomes all guests and customers to the Hotel in a friendly manner.

Responds to all customer requests for information about the Hotel and its surroundings

Arranges for special services requested by the customer.

Stays current with developments in the Hotel by reviewing all communications and log book diaries and updates them with new information for the following shift.

Works alongside other departments such as Housekeeping, Meeting and Events , Food & Beverage and the Kitchen to fulfill guests requirements.

Allocates rooms and issues appropriate room keys.

Handles incoming reservations.

Is aware at all times of current room status, room availability and selling rates.

Cash handling and payment transactions .

Demonstrates a high level of team work participation.

Provides effective communication with guests, colleagues and supervisors.

Handles difficult situations calmly and effectively.
