Partner with the best
The Reciprocating Compressor Application Engineer leads the technical strategy of our offering in agreement with the project team/functions. She/he is the main technical interface with the customer during the Inquiry To Order (ITO) phase. The key role of the job holder is to translate the customer’s needs into the most compelling technical solution leveraging RC product portfolio and technology.
As Reciprocating Compressor Application Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Leading the preparation, management, and negotiation of technical proposal relevant to Reciprocating Compressor applications and for the estimation/accuracy of the budget associated with the proposed solution.
Leading the definition of the technical strategy of the project thus influencing customer towards Baker Hughes solutions.
Preparing, within the required timeline, the most compelling technical proposal at first submission.
Applying product and quality policies, addressing, and mitigating any risks as per Baker Hughes procedures.
Leading the technical negotiation, coordinating with supporting functions and attending to meeting/presentation with customer.
Handing over the technical contract to execution team in case of award.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
Have experience in Engineering, Application Engineering, Product management, Customer Service, or equivalent technical role.
Be fluent in English (spoken and written).
Have a willingness to work on stretched deadlines with flexible time management.
Be able to travel at short notice.
Have exceptional verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
