Job Description

We are seeking a Scheduler to commence with us on a 15-month fixed term contract. Your role as a Scheduler will work undertake work across the NSW distribution Natural Gas Network and will report to the Scheduling Team Leader. Key to this role is your ability to work as a collaborative team member prioritise work, identify planning requirements, and coordinate resource to deliver the daily & weekly schedules you develop.
About the role
Co-ordinate planned and unplanned activities related to operating gas networks
Undertake daily planning, scheduling, dispatching and finalisation of high volume transactional work,
Ensure optimisation of field crews time whilst maintaining emergency response and agreed service level.
Arrange for ancillary services in consultation with supervisor or crew e.g. traffic management, concrete cutting, general and TP permits.
Monitor the utilisation of field crew, fitters and contractors to maintain a cost-effective service through transparent reporting processes.
About you
To be considered you will have a trade qualification and/or previous experience in a scheduling role in a utilities, infrastructure or construction environment. You will have experience using a maintenance management system (SAP, UpVisel) and knowledge of maintenance management principles.
Proven ability to prioritise various packages of work including addressing complex and difficult issues and overcoming obstacles within tight timeframes
Developed written and verbal communication skills
Previous experience coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Excellent knowledge and understanding of projects controls and tracking
Proficient in the use of MS Office suite of applications
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Ability to work effectively under general supervision
Thoroughness and attention to detail
Understanding of the Gas Network or Repair and Maintenance (R&M) work from a technical perspective would be beneficial
