A Sr. Marketing Operations Manager will enable the business to consistently measure the value of and return from marketing by achieving and improving operational excellence of the function. This function will provide increasing productivity, predictability and efficiency of marketing strategies, tactics, results, systems, data and processes that maximize revenues. This will require translating and communicating business and marketing needs into tangible operational actions, as well as designing and managing areas of operations and technology (e.g., marketing automation platform, CRM platform) that meet underlying functional needs and/or industry best practices.
This role will be responsible for developing and implementing a standardized marketing technology roadmap to include a universal marketing automation platform, common CRM functionality, singular CRM integration technology, and other strategic technology initiatives.
The position will oversee the marketing automation process including lead management, nurturing, scoring, and distribution. Specifically, this position will oversee development and enhancement of the prospect and client databases using the marketing automation system, including the execution and tracking of the lead nurturing programs and processes, list utilization, and will be the conduit for marketing automation training for marketing, sales and client delivery teams, as needed.
This position will also play a key role, working collaboratively with sales and marketing to implement strategies for a standardized campaign structure, and consistent marketing processes.
This role is the primary interaction with the Sales team: developing marketing automation strategies to make the ADM team more efficient and effective- replacing manual efforts with automation. This role is responsible for mapping out the entire customer journey starting from the first touch point as a prospect through to up-sell and renewal. Every system and process will be evaluated for efficiency and this role will bring automation (to lower the cost of sale) to as many sales processes as possible. This role is the primary liaison for Sales Operations teams as the marketing process owner for the global customer data and contact strategy, internal systems development, rules of engagement, CRM content, list management and KPIs.
Developing an organization that provides leadership in the use of marketing automation. Be a power user or build a team with power users such that this organization is a go-to resource for the rest of the company as it relates to technical know how of the Eloqua platform (or similar) and other marketing systems.
Developing and implementing strategy for ongoing control, maintenance and enhancement of existing marketing database (Eloqua or similar): process, standards, access control, documentation, etc.
Ensuring accurate synchronization between marketing automation systems and Salesforce.
Work with Sales Operations to ensure our marketing and sales technology footprint are in synch.
Segmenting and leveraging marketing databases and customer databases for greater campaign efficiency and effectiveness.
Serving as subject matter expert (SME) on available internal and external data sources
Establishing control mechanisms for regulating touch frequency with the databases and to ensure compliance responsibilities are met
