Product Management leads and drives the development and execution of short and long-term strategies for Berry product Tape lines. This senior leadership position isresponsiblefor developing and closely managing the Product Management Team for Tapes and tools and cadences that will drive product line strategic fit, as well as overall profitability, working closely with segment and functional leaders. Willreportto and work hand in hand with theVP of Salesand Marketing for TAPES.
Primary Job Functions Include Development and Management of the Tapes PM Team for the following:
Develop and execute the strategic vision for theproduct lines; existing, enhanced and new technology recommendations
Champion and lead cross-functionally to achieve thestrategic initiatives
Identify new business needs,internally and externally, as well as growth opportunities
Define and developassociated strategicinvestment plans with cross-functional collaboration
Lead coordination of ongoing market and competitiveintelligence; analyze and effectively communicate market trends, customer/end user demands and competitor strategies for product and pricing
Provide product assortment and pricing direction for new business opportunities
Participate in customer meetings andtradeevents to drive growth and keep up with product trends,channeland end user influences, and competitive challenges
Multi Generation Product Planning
Develop and execute 0-3yearproduct development road-map forchanneland product line effectiveness, growth and profitability
Define and develop next generation products,collaborating withSales and cross-functionally
Drive product differentiation with R&D; lead monthly project review meetings with R&D and Sales, ensuring updates are timely and clear to Sales
Drive implementation of project timelines for all developmental products; hold team accountable for milestones and deliverables
Manage allocation of technical resources to the most impactful projects
Manage all aspects of new product launches from product ideation & conception to launch
Set standard for competitive product benchmark testing, ensuring comprehensive lab and real world testing is up todateand properly communicated to sales team
Provide oversight forchanneland product-specific competitive informationProduct Line Profitability
Manage new product and customer pricing and profit,collaborating withFinance, Operations, Sourcing, Supply Chain and Sales
