As a Senior Product Marketing Manager at Databricks, you will drive marketing, positioning & messaging, branding strategy and initiatives, and customer acquisition programs. This includes product launch planning and execution, and developing content and programs that drive field success, market awareness, and channel enablement. This position is not for the faint-hearted – you must be technical and have serious product marketing chops! The ideal candidate will be a hands-on creator and evangelist of content, including fine-tuned messaging, presentations, whitepapers, and more.
Develop messaging and content deliverables that articulate Databricks offerings, differentiating value, and key benefits.
Work closely with product management, the field, partners, and analysts to position our products not only on the high level but also around individual new technologies or features that we bring to market.
Create the core tools that are used across direct marketing, field marketing, sales engagements, and channel marketing, including collateral, presentations, white papers, field/partner enablement tools and other deliverables as appropriate.
Create targeted content for market awareness including: infographics, white papers, articles, ROI tools, blogs, podcasts, and other customer-facing materials to build awareness, drive demand generation and arm the sales team.
Own and execute best-in-class, timely product launches and initiatives, and help customers, press, and analysts understand why what we’re doing is valuable to the market.
Ability to analyze customer and market requirements and trends, in addition to field requirements and deliver high-impact sales tools, enablement and training e.g. sales presentations, battle-cards, cheat sheets, ROI tools, etc.
Be the spokesperson for Databricks’ products internally and across external press and analyst relations programs
5+ years of experience in Product Marketing solution marketing, corporate marketing, and/or sales experience in enterprise software and/or SaaS experience environment.
Technical, sales, or product marketing experience with databases, middleware, data integration, developer tools, programming languages and APIs.
Strategic and analytical thinker with the ability to synthesize technology to create compelling value messages and content by persona.
Proven success in taking multiple products to launch and beyond.
Capability to both author and produce own content, and project manage marketing services resources to design creative and unique deliverables.
Impeccable written and oral communication skills – proven track record in creating multi-faceted marketing and sales enablement material – this is a must have!
Experience with sales enablement best practices around competitive battle cards, sales plays, customer-facing PowerPoint decks, sales training presentations, etc.
BS in Computer Science, Engineering, coupled with relevant professional experience; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
