Senior Team Leader, Global Support FP&A Jobs in Austin at Whole Foods Market
The Senior Team Leader will be responsible for supporting finance relationships with Global support teams as well as overseeing total company headcount management. This includes budgeting, forecasting, variance reporting, business decision support, and ad hoc requests. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with the ability to partner cross-functionally, will drive continuous improvement, has excellent problem-solving skills, and has a strong finance background.
Leads team that facilitates and supports the Global Programs and Global Support functions (G&A) planning process — building partnerships with the Senior Vice Presidents and other Global Support business partners to ensure an effective planning model and related processes.
Maintains headcount planning for total company, including global, regional, retail, non-retail, corporate, and contract labor team members.
Defines business processes to support Whole Foods Market forecast cycles, including partnering with peer groups to develop, test, and implement solutions.
Provides insightful analysis and reporting on financial results to assist global leadership in driving sales and profitability.
Provides business decision support to all Senior Vice Presidents (this includes sales, margins, income conversion, leverage, EBITDA, ROIC, etc.).
Provides analysis on forecast accuracy, proactively identifying and communicating opportunities for improvement.
Trains peers at global and regional support offices on financial disciplines, specifically as they relate to forecasting and/or financial reporting at WFM.
Leads team in preparing and analyzing monthly business reviews, maintaining a high level of data accuracy and integrity and proactively communicating findings from analysis.
Partners cross-functionally to understand underlying business drivers and utilizes this knowledge to develop forecast models consistent with company goals.
Provides finance and forecasting support for the non-retail business.
Supports alignment and communication to leadership team through the effective use of PowerPoint.
Provide ad-hoc analysis and other duties as requested.

Bachelors degree, Finance or Accounting (MBA preferred).
Minimum of 7+ years of financial analysis experience.
3+ years of experience as a Team Leader or similar role
Possess superb knowledge and understanding of financial systems, financial planning and analysis, and accounting principles.
Planning/Forecasting experience is a strong plus, preferably experience in a dynamic, scenario driven rolling forecast environment with a strong focus on accuracy.
Presents problem analysis and recommended solutions in a creative and logical manner.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to present information in different forums and with all/multiple levels of leadership.
Positive attitude, ability to work well and fast under pressure, exceptional customer service attitude.
Ability to work independently and be self-directed, as well as be a team player.
Ability to thrive in an ever-changing environment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
