Scope Of Position
To be responsible for efficiently carrying out maintenance, repair and replacement work assigned by engineering management and to the standards required, ensuring that engineering principles and safety procedures are adhered to.
To work closely with the Engineering supervisors, and other trades to carry out all duties assigned in accordance with established policies and procedures as well as to the operation schedule.
Act professionally on guest request and follow accordingly to exceed their expectation.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Shift Engineer will be responsible for the following:
To be responsible for and carry out all plant check and maintain good records,
Be part of emergency response team for the resort.
Maintain, develop, and enhance checklists for all plant equipment within the Resort.
To assist and support the trades and the rest of the team on any problems that may arise during their shift.
To be responsible for reporting any discrepancies unsolved problems and newly observed engineering problems to the supervisor and Chief Engineer as soon as possible.
To be responsible for obtaining all necessary information, documentation, and instruction to ensure that effective, efficient work may be performed, and organising this in a readily referenced manner.
To be responsible for the safe storage of both personal and borrowed tools.
To be responsible for the cleanliness and tidiness of all areas where work is performed.
Direct Arear of responsibilities will include:
Plant routine check and maintain records.
Overlook BMS (building management system)
Conduct safe isolation on water, gas and electricity when required to ensure safety of the building.
Attending guest request
Assist handyman in guest rooms when higher technical level required.
Inspect guest rooms on VIP check.
Maintain the right stock level on parts and goods.
Inspect air handling units on their duty and report on any malfunctioning
Perform water check in swimming pools
Inspect and test emergency lights
Inspect supply and exhaust fans
Inspect and repair pumps when required.
Inspect and record pressurisation units
Inspect and repair kitchen equipment on their shift
Inspect and repair kitchen dishwashing equipment.
Inspect and repair laundry equipment
Inspect and repair sanitary services.
Inspect and record booster pump systems
Inspect and record potable water and disinfecting system
Inspect Spa and swimming pool equipment and miscellaneous equipment’s (steamer, sauna heater).
Experience and qualifications
Applicant must have qualification on ether electric or mechanical field.
Have worked in the same role for three years and has sufficient experience for the job.
Multiskilled engineer understanding and participating in all aspects of engineering works.
Have a good understanding working with generators and able to conduct weekly test.
Speaking, writing, and reading English and Greek language.
Great attitude with good communication skills.
Able to handle pressure and always remains calm. Must solve problems calmly and effectively
Health And Safety
To be aware of, and comply with, safe working practices as laid down under the Health and Safety Local code and Company H & S Manual, as applicable to your place of work. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards at your workplace
To be aware of and comply with Food Acts.
To wear any appropriate protective clothing provided by or recommended by the Resort.
To report any defects in the building, plant, or equipment according to the Resort procedures.
To ensure any accidents to colleagues, guests or visitors are reported in accordance with Resort procedures.
To attend 6 monthly statutory fire training and to be fully conversant with and abide by all rules concerning, fire, health & safety.
To attend any training deemed appropriate by your Head of Department.
Any other reasonable request as required by your manager appropriate for this position and to comply with all the MOHG policies and procedures.
