RCL SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST

RCL Design Studio’s scope of work ranges from Brand/Graphic design, Interior design, Experiential design, Hospitality design (restaurants, bars, hotels), and Digital strategy.

RCL hospitality branch oversees three self-propelled concepts, creating both interiors and a thoughtful provocative branding experience. RCL hospitality currently includes three entities: Bottlehouse Wine Bar, MrWEST Café Bar Downtown, and MrWEST Café Bar University Village. RCL Design also provides professional services to entrepreneurs, restaurateurs and collaborative creatives with the resources and support to make their brand + spaces memorable.

Social Media Specialist

Role::

Social Media: Handles social media management for RCL Design, Mr WEST, and Bottlehouse.

Community Outreach: Conduct community outreach with an emphasis on brand awareness, core values and customer retention. .

Digital Strategy + Design: Support the application of digital technologies to business needs/models to form new differentiating business capabilities. The ability to see how a story can be told across various channels, and can translate product strategy into exceptional design experiences across email, in-app, social, and web

Community Outreach: Assist with customer product and service questions or issues through our review platforms and DM’s through our social media platforms.

Creative Design: Support asset creation – photography, mix media, and graphic design projects as needed for Social Media, Web, and Digital Strategy.

Responsibilities ::

  • Design content and planning for three social media Instagram feeds (RCL Design, Mr WEST, and Bottlehouse)
  • Help grow + support Social Media platforms or strategies (can include but not limited to Instagram, LinkedIN, Pinterest, Facebook, Later, and Support plugins for Social Media on websites)
  • Project manage social media/PR tasks and efforts for each company
  • Create and execute mutually agreed upon posts per week including copy, stories, hashtag creation, etc
  • Complete development of content creation for all social media platforms for all businesses, working alongside ownership + creative team as needed
  • Maintain meeting schedule (through Asana, Google calendar, emails, and texting)
  • Compile agendas, take minutes on the drive and share with team
  • Organize photos into appropriate folders on the drive
  • Assisting with getting collateral (posts, reels, animations, gifs, “blog posts” aka IG Guides)
  • Help develop a strong visual brand for all social media channels
  • Advise on, communicate, and implement best social media practices
  • Keep up-to-date on trends, resources, and information related to community engagement.
  • Recognize and value exceptional customer service and loyalty as critical factors in driving success and maintain company standards that ensure customers are consistently satisfied and appreciated.
  • Use posts, comments, and replies to engage with our audience and develop a relatable company voice.
  • Assists in resolving product and service complaints and inquiries through our various business review outlets (Yelp, Google Reviews, Square, Social Media Outlets, etc.) and troubleshooting procedures to validate reported issues, determine source, and gather relevant information. Information gathered should be then reported to Operations and Ownership.
  • Assists in testing and QCing of products to review quality issues reported from the customer.
  • Assists in answering negative customer reviews through our various review sites (Yelp, Google Reviews, Square, etc.) as well as answers to customer DM’s through social media channels. .
  • Assist customers effectively by solving customer issues. Works with Operations to provide gift cards or reimbursement for quality/service issues reported by customers.
  • Accurately captures customer information in tracking and reporting software to ensure the next visit is a positive experience.
  • Management + development of user experience, design + analytics
  • Management + development of additional multimedia design experiences + interfaces
  • Develops + implements the digital and social strategy for the entire marketing campaign on owned socials including creative and content
  • Communicate social strategy, campaign voice, and platform strategy
  • Research and report of latest web design trends, technologies and practices
  • Lifestyle, Product, Food + Beverage Photography support
  • Managing and Assisting with Photoshoots (collaboration includes but not limited with Ownership, RCL design team, 3rd party photographers)
  • Promotional Marketing Collateral
  • Cross-functional Packaging + Platform design
  • Support RCL graphics team as needed case-by-case basis (i.e Environmental Design/signs, Product packaging, etc)
  • Reports directly to Ownership // Works with RCL design team + Operations teams of BH + MrWST

Expectations ::

  • Full time – minimum 40 hours a week
  • On-site at all 3 locations as well as in RCL studio for meetings and administrative work
  • Reports directly to Ownership/Creative Principal and Project Managers (project based)
  • Flexibility on occasional weekends to assist with special projects, tasks, and events
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required for transport between locations
  • Required reliable equipment
  • Laptop for design, email and other administrative tasks
  • Cell phone for social media posting
  • Digital camera and/or quality cell phone camera for content capturing
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proven excellence with multi-tasking and prioritization
  • Thrives in a faced paced, dynamic small business environment
  • Setting monthly goals for retail/merchandising
  • On-site in studio for all meetings and administrative work

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $53,000.00 per year
