Sr. Manager – Commercial Alliances, EMEA Job at Moderna – in Basel, BS
This role plays a critical part on ensuring the vital supply of Moderna’s vaccines to many markets across the world, including managing the collaborations in emerging markets, commercial launches and ongoing commercialization activities post-launch.
This individual will be accountable to ensure the relationship with partners and distributors across the EMEA region is professional, collaborative and aligned to the contractual agreements; that ensuring issues are resolved in a timely manner and appropriate governance and communication is maintained. As the role develops it is expected that you will take full ownership of some of these collaborations.
The scope of these activities will include management of commercially related committees and corresponding activities of these committees including the Joint Steering Committee (JSC) any Regional or Market specific committees established to support Day 1 readiness in all of Moderna’s contracted territories.
Although Commercial business development activities and Corporate Development for the regional market entry strategy are supported through a separate role there will be ample opportunities to support and get involved in those activities.
The role reports to Senior Director, Commercial Alliances, Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA).
Here’s What You’ll Do:
Create and maintain project timelines that contain all activities, interdependencies and resource required to accomplish key milestones across the collaboration
Identify and manage activities and processes for the development of key project deliverables and documents for collaboration
Provide regular updates on progress against project objectives, milestones, timelines and metrics
Work cross-functionally to achieve projects objectives and find solutions for business issues
Provide written agendas and meeting summaries in a timely manner to communicate project status to broader team
Partner with Commercial, Business Development, Legal, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain and corporate strategy team to ensure project plans, value drivers for partnership and governance are aligned appropriately with contract obligations
Engage with local distributor markets to establish and facilitate collaboration, ways of working, and information sharing approach
Manage the day-to-day tasks and business emerging situations internally with the cross-functional team and externally with customers and commercial partners
Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:
Thorough understanding of contracts, partnerships, experience and track record of having managed successful alliances
Commercial experience to facilitate knowledge flow within alliances to ensure commercial success of Moderna products
Experienced, hands-on project manager adept at establishing processes and managing cross-functional teams through significant ambiguity and fast-paced environment. Formal project management education/certification preferred
Strong analytical, organization, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, ability to work in a time constrained environment
Ability to manage difficult conversations and interactions as they arise
Strong leadership skills, including creative, problem solving mindset and ability to work in a multicultural environment
Highly motivated, results oriented individual
Launch experience preferred
