Zendesk is looking for an accomplished Senior Performance Marketing Manager to develop and execute our SEM, Review Sites and Affiliates strategy, driving high-performing initiatives to improve the return on our marketing investment and grow leads and revenue from these campaigns. This is an exciting opportunity for a Performance marketing superstar with a proven track record of optimizing complex global paid media campaigns for multiple products and audiences in a dynamic environment.

The ideal candidate will be a data-driven hands-on marketer, both highly analytical as well as adept at building strategic relationships at all levels of the organization. You will be guiding a team of 4+talented marketers and launching high growth initiatives globally. You are someone who enjoys formulating hypotheses, developing testing plans and iterating based on data-supported insights.

What you’ll do:

Be the global leader in charge of building out and expanding a performance-focused SEM, Review Sites and Affiliate programs at Zendesk

Set the vision for the channels, manage day-to-day operations, monitor quarterly budgets and pacing to achieve goals and ROI targets with the help of team (4+ channel and 4+ regional managers.

Build, manage and maintain framework and roadmap for your channels

Own weekly and monthly reporting of channel metrics, goals, and other KPI’s

Research and leverage SEM/Affiliate marketing industry trends and competitive analysis to inform marketing strategy

Work with the core performance team in HQ as well as in regions on budgeting and pipeline forecasts, allocating and maxing out spend against the most efficient strategies

Develop Zendesk’s Affiliate practice from the ground up collaborating with cross-functional teams and grow leads that have a high propensity to convert to paid customers.

Communicate big-wins for platforms and flagging of potential red-flags just as fast

Communicate with regional and cross-functional stakeholders as needed

Who you are:

You have 7+ years of hands-on experience running paid search campaigns on major search engine platforms (Adwords & Bing)

Proven track-record building up affiliate marketing programs from the ground up and growing revenue through this channel.

You are a seasoned paid media expert with a playbook of proven tips and tricks to meet ambitious ROI driven goals.

Deep knowledge of search marketing, bidding strategies, A/B testing and Adwords certified. Familiarity with a Review Sites business model and platforms. Proven track record building successful programs is a plus.

High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation; excellent project management skills, ability to clearly communicate results, key learnings and areas of opportunities.

You have experience managing large budgets of 1MM+

You are constantly on the lookout for the next tactic that will take your programs to new heights

You are comfortable managing the day-to-day operations of a highly matrixed team (4+ direct reports and 6+ geo managers), including, but not limited to directing the planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting of performance across the channels you are responsible for.

You are eager to roll up your sleeves – we are building a team of do’ers who like tinkering and testing using all the different levers available- bids, budgets, placement types, audience targeting, creative, CTA, etc.
