Sr. Supply Analyst Job at Fiskars – in Middleton
The Sr. Supply Analyst manages and executes the replenishment of new and existing products with suppliers in support of inventory objectives and customer service expectations. Including, but not limited to cash-flow, inventory turns, expediting fees and reserves for Excess & Obsolete. Expeditiously addresses all supplier issues affecting delivery and service; including capacity and seasonality plans. Accountable for the product life-cycle from product launch to obsolescence.
Review and analyze MRP requirements for product. Release and manage purchase orders to support the inventory plan for assigned suppliers/product lines. Monitor demand and expedite and de-expedite orders based on customer demands/forecasts. This activity will include close working relationship with other Supply/Demand Analysts in meeting all new product launches. Accountable for supply plan from plan to stock
Plays role in promo, new product, Plan-O-Gram execution and changes. Partners with marketing, sales, and forecasting to streamline the set up and ordering of new items to ensure service and expectations are met.
Accountable for planning system integrity. Item planning set up, life-cycle process changes, bill of materials/work order, rework orders, Promotion & Plan-O-Gram, and forecast transition dates. Guardian of making sure the system is set up on their SKUs/vendors to ensure correct planning.
Supplier Communications: Regular review of priorities with suppliers to ensure sales commitments are met. Maintain open communications with suppliers regarding annual forecasts and capacity constraints. This activity will include supplier visits as necessary.
Key contact for Customer Service on inventory availability – daily participation in Customer Service meetings to communicate issues with deliveries to meet customer demands.
Monitors and maintains all system data for planning and inventory management purposes – working very closely with other Supply/Demand Analysts to meet inventory and turns targets. This activity will also include analysis on inventory changes and supply issues.
Tracks all in-transit inventories – provides priorities to freight forwarder and DC receiving where necessary on inbound shipments.
Key Performance Indicators: provides feedback and recommendations for improvement where necessary as related to their item portfolio
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Ops Management, with focus in Supply Chain or equivalent experience
2-5 years experience in key aspects of Supply Planning, Demand planning, inventory control, and/or statistical analysis.
Exceptional computer literacy including proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software(SAP, JDE, Oracle, etc), Microsoft Office suite of applications, Business Intelligence reporting tools(Cognos), and Product Lifecycle Management software
Strong demonstrative math, problem solving and statistical skills are a prerequisite to success.
