You will be a Product Manager for the team that works on Spark, Delta Lake and data processing. We are constantly working on how to make Spark and Delta Lake easier to use, faster and more reliable, you will be core to that mission. You will have an opportunity to work with enterprises that have some of the largest data sets in the world and help them go from raw data in a Data Lake to Analytics and Insights.

This role requires coordinating all product activities from vision to implementation, including engaging customers to understand their needs, developing long-term product strategy, defining product roadmaps, working with engineering to build those products, and coordinating with various internal stakeholders (both pre- and post-launch) to ensure product success.


Own the end-to-end product management process

Gather customer requirements, design features and collaborate with engineering to deliver a polished market-ready product

Own partner relationship with storage vendors, reducing risk and increasing opportunities for collaboration

Drive launches with product marketing through blog posts, release notes, webinars

Define and measure OKRs for your products

Drive the prioritization and development of performance optimizations, measurably reducing the cost and time needed to process terabytes of data. You are empowered to exploit innovations in cutting edge research to make this happen.

Drive the prioritization and delivery of connectors, which make it possible for our customers to read and write data to external systems such as databases.


6+ yrs of product management experience

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or similar field

Experience in Product Management (inbound, outbound, cross-functional processes)

Technical skills

Understanding of storage and compute on cloud vendors (AWS, Azure)

Working knowledge of Apache Spark’s execution model, query planning and execution or similar data processing engine

Familiarity with with Big Data technology including data formats (e.g. Parquet and ORC), as well as connectors that enable Apache Spark to read and write to external systems

Data analysis and operationalization skills (SQL, rollups, building operational dashboards)
