What will you do:
The role of Supply Chain Director is to lead the supply chain operations for our Ferentino site in Italy and provide overall supply chain planning and business leadership, in order to ensure our clients demands are fully met in terms of quantity, conditions and delivery date. Working closely with EU Supply Chain and Site Procurement, the Supply Chain Director will develop strategies and guidelines to manage functions such as: Planning, Inventory Control, Warehousing and Customer Service. Together with the EU Purchasing Department, they will ensure that all material supplies (inventory) for the Ferentino site are managed according to the scheduled volumes and dates, and at the best financial conditions, in respect of the company/group policies.

Other Duties Include:
Ensuring the direction, coordination and control of the reporting structure, through the identification of objectives, valorization of the results, identification of the training and development needs, in order to guarantee a high level of performance and motivation.

Establishing annual objectives to provide guidance of the initiatives to manage with the departments.

Supporting the definition, proposal and review of the budget, and ensure it is adherent to the strategic plan and development prospects of the company.

Ensuring processes are in place in order to guarantee that the production planning of the Ferentino site and the weekly schedule of the production departments are properly defined based on the capacity available

Ensuring the Supply Chain department is provided with the necessary tools to support the activities for the Ferentino site.

To identify any needs to improve current tools or implement new ones, to verify the uploading and control process is efficient and any information is registered in a timely and correct manner, in order to constantly improve the productivity indicators and the efficiency level of the logistics area.

Ensuring that any necessary intervention for the local logistics groups, that can optimize the capacity utilization of the site and that can ensure our clients demands, are met in full and on time.

Working closely with the EU Purchasing department in order to ensure that material supplies are managed in an efficient and effective manner, maintaining strong commercial relationships with qualified vendors based on a good control on pricing, delivery dates and efficiency.

Ensuring that our client service delivery performance is maintained at the highest level. To maintain strong relationships with our clients and ensure the activities of the Client Service staff are managed in order to ensure the clients are kept informed in a timely manner.

Ensuring an adequate reporting process to the Sites and Corporate Management about delivery dates, costs and order status, in respect of the company interests and standards.

Ensuring the direction, coordination and control of the reporting structure, through the identification of objectives, valorization of the results, identification of the training and development needs, in order to guarantee a high level of performance and motivation.

Will support the development and implementation of EHS systems and procedures to be used as a business advantage

How Will You Get There?

A Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Management or a related field

Extensive Supply Chain Management experience, preferably within the Pharmaceutical or a similar industry

Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures

Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts and tools

Extensive people leadership experience is essential

A dynamic, high energy leader with a track record as an effective communicator and uses a collaborative approach to problem solving.

Ability to influence and collaborate with various organizations and management levels

Previous experience managing projects is also advantageous

Must have organizational skills to effectively plan, organize, and set priorities for the operation and teams

Effective written and oral communication skills in English. Must be PC literate in software such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.
