Job Description


The European Shared Services Retail Collections in Berlin is servicing accounts with a combined customer portfolio for Germany, Spain, Italy, France, BeNeLux and the UK. The focus of this department is loss mitigation through negotiating with customers to reach a payment arrangement. If payment arrangements are not possible the department is responsible for taking actions that reduces the potential credit loss for Daimler Mobility AG.

Main responsibilities are the professional and disciplinary management of the employees in the French collections team, the appropriate management of the operational business as well as the internal procedures and the perfect design of interfaces. The position holder is responsible for the achievement of qualitative and quantitative corporate objectives and supervises compliance with legal, collective and company regulations. He/she is the first contact point for the local market and actively steers the relationship between our SSC and the local market.

You can expect the following tasks:Operational process management and professional management:
Ensuring and achieving the agreed objectives, in particular with regard to availability, service level and case-completion

Responsibility for the planning, securing, controlling and monitoring of the operative business

Decision-making and processing of complex business transactions and escalations

Identification of the need for actions in the day-to-day business and initiation of appropriate measures for processing

Initiation and support of change processes to improve existing workflows

Personnel management:
Capacity planning and monitoring, shift and assignment planning of the employees in close co-operation with the operator

Check and monitor working hours and leave time as well as initiate appropriate measures

Guide, motivate and promote the employees by goal agreements and performance assessments

Coordinate trainings and development plans to help employees develop their full potential

Ensuring a goal-oriented internal communication

Ensure that the agreed objectives are met

Operation of the interface to the training line

Candidate selection, holding of interviews and ensuring the integration process together with our HR-department

Compliance and regulations:
Assure compliance with all group and location specific regulations (e.g. safety and environmental protection regulations, working time regulation, guidelines, etc.) applicable to the transferred area of responsibility, as well as applicable legal provisions (e.g. ICS, BaFin requirements etc.)

Inform the assigned employees about the relevant regulations and instruct them to comply

Proper implementation of control mechanisms

Degree in Laws, Business Administration, Economics/Finance or a related field

Strong professional experience in collections environment, especially in the French market

Experience in a service center environment or customer services

Experience in leading a team

Knowledge of German labor laws will be considered as a plus

Native speaker level in French and English

Additional language skills in other market languages and/or German will be considered as a plus

Expert level in MS-Office (esp. Excel & Powerpoint)

Good skills in the leasing and finance sector and / or banking management

Flexibility and adaptability

High degree of integrity, social competence, persuasion and negotiation skills

Entrepreneurial thinking and action

Focus on making decisions, analyze and solving challenges

Strong organizational talent and time management

Competences in the field of moderation and communication

Strong communication skills
