WB Technology combines Warner Bros.’ industry-leading technologists and disciplines to ensure global alignment with business strategy and accelerated delivery of innovative technology solutions studio- and industry-wide. From pre-production through archiving, the WBT organization will provide critical business and technology intelligence and services to all Studio business units. WBT manages the Studio’s enterprise systems and solutions, emerging platforms, information security, consumer intelligence, content mastering and delivery, and more.
Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. seeks a Technical Project Manager for Ellen Digital Venture’s Ellentube platform. The Technical Project Manager is responsible for developing product roadmaps, feature definitions, and managing projects related to Ellen Digital Venture’s O&O and digital content syndication platforms. This role involves working with cross-functional teams including marketing, ad sales, editorial, IT, operations, and vendors. The right candidate will be able to understand and help develop creative, technology, and the business requirements. The candidate will translate those requirements into an actionable product roadmap that will keep this digital platform at the forefront of our industry from a user experience, product performance, and revenue generation standpoint. This position will be responsible for providing analysis on a variety of key business initiatives, partner with digital marketing to develop growth plans, identify criteria for success, develop epics and user stories for design and development, and ultimately drive the launch of new products and features. This position will also be responsible for product support and issue escalation and resolution.
Translate business requirements into actionable technical specifications in the form of user stories and tasks.
Monitor timelines and progress of projects to ensure efficient, on-time delivery of work while being able to assess and address any issues or concerns that may impact the success of the project.
Lead project status update meetings and regularly and effectively communicate to cross-functional team members about project status.
Lead UAT efforts
Delegate and prioritize tasks and responsibilities to engineering team and make sure workload is managed efficiently
Ensure legal guidelines are enforced.
Create and document new processes, workflows, and communication protocols.
Analyze technical and user performance data and troubleshoot and escalate issues to various stakeholders.
7-10+ years of digital technology experience, preferably in the media and entertainment industry.
7-10 years technical project management experience.
7+ years experience working on an ad supported video based digital platform.
5+ years or experience working with a software engineering team.
5+ years web and mobile development technologies and processes including XML, JSON, API, CSS, HTML, CMS.
2-5 years Experience with JIRA, Slack and other communication tools.
5 years experience with Agile and waterfall project management methodologies.
5 years experience determining and analyzing various KPIs.
5 years experience with developing and executing A/B and multivariate testing strategies.
Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of personnel, both in person and on the telephone.
Must be able to pay close attention to complex detail and understand written and oral instructions.
Must be able to organize and schedule work effectively.
Must be able to work well under time constraints.
Must be able to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities, communicating changes in scope and schedule to all parties concerned.
