Technical Support Operator Job at Bay Alarm in Concord, CA
Troubleshoot alarm systems using remote programming software. Assist with general IP networking issues, router configuration, port forwarding, etc. using remote access software Assist with configuration and troubleshooting of Total Connect and other remote panel services. Support older hardware and alarm systems not installed by Bay.
Remain current with new products and technologies by attending Bay University classes. Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Basic computer skills required – ability to use SBN, Word, Excel, remote programming software etc. Ability to make use of electronic reference documents.
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Basic electronic knowledge and alarm installation and/or service skills required. Basic networking skills required, DVR configuration, port forwarding, access from the internet, etc. Customer service telephone skills required.
Telecom, IP network, and cellular knowledge required. CA Drivers license preferred. 3-5 years installation/service experience required. 10+ years installation/service experience preferred.
