Tekno Surgical is a business within the C&C Medtech Division of Uniphar Group (refer to Appendix for further details)

The Role

The Logistics Co-Ordinator will be responsible for planning and coordinating time sensitive deliveries and collection of medical product /kits and devices to Public and Private Hospitals Nationwide. This will be coordinated by using multiple resources. The Operations Team look after all stock movements within the many company departments. In this role you will be required to liaise and communicate with internal/external representatives, sub-contractors, and drivers on a daily basis to ensure all goods are distributed effectively, whilst ensuring we maintain our excellent standards of service to our customers at all times.

This is a very fast paced challenging role and will reward those who thrive working under pressure in this environment.

Key Outcomes

Dealing with “critical live surgery request” deliveries around the City & Nationwide.

Responsible for the co-ordination / monitoring of time sensitive requests and also deliveries to the hospitals both in Dublin and Nationwide.

Strong communication with our customers and internal departments.

Communicating effectively within the team / Drivers /Company Representatives on a regular basis to ensure all deliveries/ collection are completed effectively

Working in a logistics team to plan for the current and future requirements of the company.

Assisting Drivers with loading and offloading of vehicles.

Dealing with any requests from the Company Representatives effectively.

Dealing with ad-hoc requests for deliveries and collections from all areas of the business which can range from a van to an Artic vehicle.

Working in logistics as a key cog of the whole loan operations unit you will be working in close collaboration with other departments such as the Booking Team, CS Teams and the Kits Team to make sure everything runs efficiently as a system.

Key Skills & Experiences

Drive and initiative to keep on top of a demanding role.

As we are often dealing with live surgeries you will need to proactive with strong communication skills.

Strong attention to detail is a necessity in the medical industry..

This is an incredibly fast-paced role and would suit those with strong multi-tasking skills

You must have strong communication skills via multiple communication channels for example phone / MS Teams / email.

You will be working in a team environment so you will need to be a strong and flexible team player and will demonstrate excellent external and internal customer focus throughout.

You will need to be highly organised and calm under pressure with good troubleshooting skills and the ability to make good decisions under pressure.

A good level of computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft suite and ERP experience an advantage.

Actively working on improving weekly/monthly KPI’s with a passion for improvement.

Commitment to cost reduction and a consolidation of resources mentality.

Actively working on systems / process improvements with a strong commitment to continuous improvement.

Full clean driving licence desirable.

Experience in Medical Industry would help but not necessary
