Job Description

The role

We are looking for an experienced Transport Operations Planner to join our Global Logistics division based at Forest Lake on a fixed term contract till late December 2021. Working on a 4-on 4-off roster, you will efficiently plan future road transport operations to ensure commercial viability is achieved, along with creating positive outcomes for customer service and overall operational excellence.

As the Transport Operations Planner, you will:
Effectively plan and coordinate 24-hour load operations to meet customer demands.

Identify and implement strategies to improve supply chain operations.

Conduct technical transformational analysis e.g. trailer utilization.

Proactively identify opportunities to improve operational processes and fleet composition.

Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

About you

To be successful in this role, you will need:
Prior experience in a similar role within the transport industry.

Sound knowledge of road transport and equipment.

Exceptional analytical, financial and business acumen skills to achieve business outcomes.

The capability to effectively communicate with all levels of stakeholders – verbal and written.

Accountability to manage time and meet deadlines.

The ability to critically assess situations and provide solutions within a fast-paced environment.

Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills.
