We are looking for a passionate travel consultant intern who will manage travel requirements made for individuals and businesses on holiday. Successful candidate will ensure to assist tourism related package tours and services on behalf of suppliers. Your goal is also to ensure clients are loyal for future services and are satisfied.

Duties

Collect payments, book transportation and make hotel reservations

Work with clients to understand their needs, advise them the appropriate destination, travelling dates, costs, accommodations and modes of transportations

Provide relevant details, publications and brochures

Sell and plan accommodations, insurance, transportations, and other related travel services

Maintain client files and enter data into software

Deal with occurring travel problems, complaints or refunds

Attend travelling seminars to be updated with tourism trends

Networking with tour operators

Maintain financial and statistical records

Prepare promotional materials to sell itinerary tour packages using promotional techniques

Meet sales and profit targets

Skills

Working experience proven as a travel consultant. Without experience will be mentored and trained by our excellent team

Strong commercial awareness and sales skills

Knowledgeable of GDS systems, e-travelling and computer reservations systems

Fluent in English, multilingual is an added advantage

Ability to communicate, interact and negotiate effectively

Grade 12 diploma, degree in travel, hospitality, business relevant field and tourism
