About the role:
Plans and executes sales targets and activities in selling assigned products, services or projects to customers in specified industries who use Siemens products directly in the course of their own investments, in order to increase sales and to achieve defined commercial targets.

What are the responsibilities of the role?

Educate internal and external personnel on Siemens Digital Industries portfolio with respect to features, benefits, and value propositions for the Petrochemical, Oil & Gas markets.

Work with marketing, sales and engineering teams to maximize solution offerings locally and in close cooperation with the Siemens global Petrochemical, Oil & Gas team.

Identify market trends, customer needs and competitive advantages and use this knowledge to grow Siemens Digital Industries portfolio market share.

Build and maintain a stable network with Management and experts in the Petrochemical, Oil & Gas market and supports sales and customers as an industry subject matter expert.

Achieve business KPIs as defined by the regional sales lead

Development interface between customers’ HQ with support of Corporate Account Managers and internal Siemens organization

Owns responsibility for the development and implementation of the Account strategy

Analyses Petrochemical Oil & Gas market and Customer requirements, develop strategy, value chain and key business drivers

Evaluates the Key Account potential and account penetration to develop a short-term, mid-term and long-term win strategy

Work closely with Siemens Corporate Account Manager (if applicable) to ensure account strategy is in alignment to global account strategy

Develop and maintain the Account Business Plan for targeted OEMs and end customers

Prepare & monitor Key Account budget and forecast

Continuously update the strategic and operational opportunities in CRM tool

Facilitate and leverage executive level relationship between Siemens and Key Customer

May be required to co-ordinate overall planning of projects and may have to decide on allocation of resources (Project Management).

Implements PM and PMO guidelines and processes and manages respective functional organization.

Administers and ensures adherence of PM policies, guidelines, programs and standards.

Is responsible for the overall successful execution of the (sub) project:

Coordinates the project execution within the defined requirements (e.g. budget, time, functionality).

Is responsible for the implementation of customer specific requirements

Ensures business success and satisfaction of the customer, ensures professional stakeholder management.

Ensures timely decisions on open issues, escalating if necessary.

May coordinate agreed commissioning measures onsite.

Maintains communication to customers, outside contractors or other (internal) stakeholders.

May monitor milestones and adherence to budgets.

May have responsibility for economic results.

What do you need Qualify?

Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Electrical Engineering (LC) / Chemistry.

Subject matter expertise of the Petrochemical, Oil & Gas market segments within Manufacturing and R&D.

Petrochemical, Oil & Gas Knowledge including industry standards,.

Experience working with End Users, OEMs, integrators and EPCs, especially in the Petrochemical/Oil & Gas Environment.

Minimum of 5 years relevant prior sales / technical experience in working with Southern African Petrochemical, Oil & Gas customers.

Knowledge of Petrochemical, Oil & Gas applications / Experience in working on Petrochemical, Oil & Gas projects.

Must be willing to travel extensively in and around SADEC Regions
