Veterinary Receptionist

Animal Vision Center (AVC) is Veterinary Ophthalmology only practice located in Mountlake Terrace, WA that is looking for a friendly and career minded Customer Service Representative to join our team. We are a privately owned hospital that strives to provide the highest quality eye care to our patients, clients and our referring veterinarian.

Job Skills/Responsibilities:

Provide the best client service possible both in person and on the phone

Scheduling medical appointments

Answering multi-line phones system

Greeting and assisting clients

Gathering client and patient information

Manage flow of doctor schedule

Triage and obtain patient history

Interpret medical exam findings

Submitting insurance claims

Processing payments

Maintain an excellent relationship with referral veterinary practices

Scanning and attaching documents to medical records

Communicate with referring doctors, clinics and clients via email

Prepare prescriptions (medication clerk license preferred)

Communicate discharge instructions to clients

Required work experience:

Receptionist (1 year required): Veterinary receptionist required

Experience within the veterinary profession is required and speciality veterinary practice is preferred

The Customer Service Representative provides the first and last impression of the practice. They must have exceptional client service, show excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills, and maintain a sense of team work at all times. They also must be able to prioritize, multitask with numerous interruptions, and have the ability to communicate directly and professionally, acting as a liaison between clients and doctors.

Assisting the doctor/ veterinarian team with exams and patient care in the hospital may be needed occasionally.

COVID-19 considerations:
We will provide masks and gloves to employees during shifts and we do not allow clients in the hospital to limit face to face interactions during the pandemic.

• Mountlake Terrace, WA 98043: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

• Veterinary experience: 1 year (Preferred)
• Customer service: 1 year (Required)
