The Pictsweet Company is growing! We are currently looking for a versatile leader in Information Technology to lead our IT department. The Vice President of Information Technology will provide vision and leadership for developing and implementing strategic initiatives in IT. The position is responsible for planning, coordinating, designing and execution of all operational activities of the IT department and the IT systems and applications in support of Pictsweet’s operations, supports business development, improves cost effectiveness and leads to greater productivity and efficiency. This role works closely together with senior management across all departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support solutions enabling employee productivity and operational efficiencies, leveraging data analytics tools and systems.

The essential duties of this position include:
Lead IT strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals, prioritizing IT initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment and management of current and future systems across the organization.

Develop and maintain an organizational IT structure that supports the current and future needs.

Establish IT departmental goals, objectives and operating procedures. Directs continuous improvements of systems and procedures to maintain pace with technological progress and business needs.

Identify opportunities for appropriate and cost effective investment in IT systems and resources, including staffing, sourcing, procurement and in-house development.

Develop, track and control the information technology annual operating and capital budgets.

Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.

Coordinate and facilitate consultation with senior level stakeholders to define technology roadmap and systems requirements.

Ensure continuous delivery of IT services, through oversight of service level agreements with end users.

Ensure IT system operation adheres to applicable laws and regulations, contractual obligations and established security protocols.

Review hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts and pursue master agreements to capitalize on economies of scale.

Keep ahead of trends and issues in the IT industry, including current and evolving technologies. Advise, counsel and educate executives and management on their competitive or financial impact.

Minimum Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:
Minimum ten years of experience managing and directing an information technology function including experience in strategic planning and execution.

Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning server based systems and project management for software implementations.

Proven experience in IT strategic planning, organization and development.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

Food related industry background a plus.
