ABOUT THE ROLE
The Ward Clerk is responsible for administrative and clerical support services to the Surgical Wards in a timely, reliable and efficient manner.

ABOUT OUR HOSPITAL
Wollongong Hospital is the Illawarra and Shoalhaven’s major referral and teaching hospital and has bed base of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.
The Hospital is closely affiliated with the University of Wollongong and the Illawarra Health and Medical Research Institute. An academic suite locate at Wollongong Hospital supports the School of Nursing and Midwifery at the University of Wollongong.

Selection Criteria
Ability to perform a wide range of administrative tasks in a demanding workload.
Experience of responding to a range of enquiries and determining the appropriate response in a complex work environment.
High level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated commitment to providing a quality service and quality improvement initiatives in workplace practices and procedures.
Ability to use computer hardware, software applications and electronic systems at a basic level in accordance with policy and procedure.
