The primary role for this position is to work as an efficient team member to ensure that all orders are processed in a timely and accurate manner. Use of good housekeeping practices will be required to maintain a clean, orderly, and safe operational area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Receive shipments and enter into inventory
Pull allocated product from stock for processing
Process and package product according to instructions listed on paperwork
Operate scales, metal detector, automatic counters/baggers, shrink wrap machines, heat sealers, silicone machines, Punch Press
Maintain product traceability
Perform second verification for order completeness
Perform documented line clearances
Responsible for transportation of product from production area to racking locations in the warehouse.
Run SAP reports to find the storage bins of the Material.
Ensure that material is scanned to appropriate storage bins in the warehouse.
Keep equipment and warehouse in a clean and orderly condition.
Follow the 5S methodology for audits. Identify and repair any damaged pallets, boxes, labels and bin locations.
Provides backup support for cycle count operations.
Provide backup support for reprocess work and items in the quarantine area.
Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instructions, and all safety rules.
Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor based on the business needs.
Education and Experience:
Must pass pre-employment testing which may include the following: vocabulary comprehension, math and basic mechanics
Minimum 2-3 years of manufacturing experience, shipping experience preferred
Current power lift truck certification or able to obtain license within 30 days of employment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be able to read and interpret documents such as process specifications and ensure all paperwork and product ID is completed
Able to comply with the company’s safety policy always
Willing and able to work as a team member and make general decisions within authorized responsibility
Self-motivated and solution-oriented personality
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Good organizational skills
Eager to fully understand and take ownership of specified process area
Ability/courage to successfully communicate with any required parties
Physical and Travel Requirements
<10% travel as needed
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly stands, walks, talks, and hears
The employee continuously is required to use hands to handle, feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Must be able to stand for duration of the shift and lift 35 pounds on a frequent basis, up to 50 pounds occasionally and able to push 25 pounds
Required to watch and listen for alarms (colored lights) on manufacturing equipment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts
Must be able to tolerate industrial odors and smells on a frequent basis
Must be able to work in employer-issued scrubs including hair net, face cover, safety glasses/goggles, etc. for 8 hours
Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud, hearing protection is required in most production areas
Regular full-time employee works 40 hours a week, some overtime may be required
Good eye vision and capable of differentiating color.
Must meet minimum training certification requirements and be approved by the Repack Manager.
Must follow and comply with Plant’s Dress and Hygiene Code (SOI)
Must follow and comply with all Company and Plant policies, procedure (SOIs), rules and State and Federal laws
