Job Description

Rakuten Kobo Inc. is looking for a Web Developer to join our A/B testing team! Reporting to the Manager, Technology Delivery, as a member of this team you will be responsible for creating, analyzing and reporting on A/B tests on our ecommerce platform.

We take full responsibility for our work, from requirements gathering and solutioning, to implementation and testing, to deploying and monitoring how our tests perform in front of real customers. Using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to build fast, clean written tests within our A/B testing framework.

Provide feasible solutions and time estimates from UX/UI designs.

Conduct technical audits and ensure proper implementation of tests.

Collaborate with designers and product owners to build meaningful tests.

Identify key insights and optimization opportunities in Google Analytics which can be used to develop A/B tests.

Implement, configure and maintain Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and A/B testing framework.

Become a subject matter expert for Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.

Work with QA and release teams to test and release code into production environments.

The Skillset:Required:
You have experience in front end technologies such as CSS3, JavaScript and HTML5.

You have experience using version control systems such as Git.

You have expertise in Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.

You have experience with A/B testing, multivariate testing, analysis and reporting in platforms like Maxymiser or Optimizely.

You have an advanced knowledge of responsive designs and mobile first layouts.

You are highly technical and able to communicate well with developers and non-developers.

You are familiar with using debugging tools like Chrome Console or Firefox Developer Tools.
