We’re looking for new talent to join us as we reinvent the future of energy. Across BC, we have a diverse team of more than 2,500 employees we can’t do without, yet we’re growing as fast as ever.

You may think we’re your standard utility that delivers natural gas and electricity, but we’re also into cool, innovative energy solutions. Think carbon capture, renewable energies and lower-carbon transportation for a start. We believe in creating a cleaner, healthier tomorrow.

If you like meaningful work, a dynamic environment and forward-thinking colleagues, build your career with us. You’ll get opportunities to grow, lead, solve, and create. So what are you waiting for? Let’s rethink energy together. Position Overview

With your gifts as a web guru, you know what sets apart web sites that delight visitors and are easy to use. What’s the secret ingredient? You understand the need to put your customers’ first and leverage user experience best practices to craft intentionally and effectively designed web sites.

If this sounds like your approach to web services, then you’re our ideal Web Specialist. Joining our Information Systems department, you’ll provide expert advice acting as a liaison for internal and external end-users while maintaining and enhancing our websites by implementing user experience best practices.

Your detail-oriented approach means nothing slips through the cracks, and you can juggle a multitude of pressing requests with your eyes closed. What’s more, your creativity shines through when you’re problem-solving, connecting the dots between the needs of the user and improving existing infrastructure.

We’re always seeking innovators like yourself. We hold true to our values for innovating what energy can do for our customers and how we can continually improve how we deliver energy to our customers safely, reliably and sustainably. Join us in rethinking our energy future. In year 1, you will:

Become proficient in all content management systems and with our design guidelines.

Partner with Web Services colleagues to provide direction and guidance to our internal customers regarding user experience and content management. In year 2, you will:

Utilize user experience analyses to continue creating better employee engagement.

Support the development and implementation of functionalities, content and website features. What it takes:

A technical web design certificate and at least two years of relevant work experience.

Superior customer service skills to work with many different business areas, in a timely and respectable manner.

A detail-oriented approach to ensure content is correct and accurate, and the ability to manage requests across the multiple content management systems we support, both internally and externally.

Strong user experience skills to provide guidance and recommendations on best practices to ensure our web applications support our internal and external customer needs.

Excellent problem-solving skills to provide guidance and recommendations on web forms, user experience best practices, upgrading information architecture and troubleshooting. Additional Information
